A Senior Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in an organization through their significant technical expertise and extensive experience in the industry. Characterized by a highly solution-oriented mindset, these professionals are instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying tailor-made systems to make business processes more seamless and efficient. They excel in scripting/automation, capacity planning, performance auditing, and optimization. In addition to these technical proficiencies, Senior Systems Engineers must also possess leadership capabilities to guide and mentor junior engineers, promote process improvement, and ensure adherence to Agile or ITIL process frameworks. Their work extends beyond internal systemic improvements, as they are often required to directly interface with clients through phone conferences, workshops, and site visits. Consistent high-quality deliverables, personal responsibility and management, and collaborative teamwork are key expectations for anyone fulfilling this multifaceted role.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy robust systems and solutions
  • Setup comprehensive monitoring systems and conduct regular performance audits
  • Supervise and train lower-level systems engineers
  • Strong comprehension of Agile or ITIL processes and the ability to train team members
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Able to read, understand, and create detailed design, technical, and project documentation
  • Function in multiple roles including Systems Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Database Administrator, DB Architect, Database or Systems Consultant, Maintenance lead and team leader for up to 5 engineers
  • Deliver high-quality projects with strong ownership and responsibility
  • Participate in phone conferences, customer workspaces, and presentations
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering
  • Proficiency in primary skills and intermediate+ level in other professional skills
  • Strong skills in scripting/automation
  • Experience in bug/development tracking systems
  • Understanding of the software development cycle
  • Proficiency in English at B2 level
  • Excellent team player with the ability to train and coach junior members
  • Capable of self-managing, implementing functionality without supervision, and testing their work thoroughly
  • Able to represent the organization in client interactions, including site visits, without supervision
