Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled remote Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team with a focus on the AWS cloud.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our Hybrid infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, systems administration, and cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the health of component-related infrastructure across multiple environments
- Propose, implement improvements, and perform component upgrades
- Improve the reliability and scalability of the whole system
- Work closely with the development & other platform component streams. Be able to actively participate in English language coordination with the team and project
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage for our production infrastructure (~2 shifts per month as primary support engineer)
- Support the AWS team with ongoing support of AWS deployment including hybrid components with on-prem deployment (using Cilium), preparing for full AWS migration, and FinOps and Security initiatives support and implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure issues, providing valuable insights and recommendations
- Develop and maintain documentation related to infrastructure and processes
Requirements
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Science, Mathematics, or equivalent or be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge
- 3+ years pf relevant work experience
- 2+ years of experience in working with Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu or similar)
- Proven experience with configuration management tools, i.e., Ansible
- Production experience and understanding of cluster management systems like Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and ECS
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Terragrunt)
- Practical experience with Monitoring systems (Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Dynatrace)
- Strong experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, and other services
- Expertise in DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools such as Helm
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
