We are currently seeking a remote Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of the cloud infrastructure and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our customer services. You will be working closely with the development teams and other stakeholders to identify and implement solutions to enhance the cloud infrastructure. To be successful in this role, you must be a strategic thinker, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Collaborate with development teams and other stakeholders to identify and implement solutions to enhance our cloud infrastructure
- Automate and script processes for efficient and effective deployment and management of cloud resources
- Ensure high availability and scalability of our services on AWS
- Apply best practices for security and compliance to our cloud infrastructure
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with AWS components, such as VPC, EC2, ELB, EBS, Route53, S3, and CloudTrail
- Strong Python and T-SQL skills for automation and scripting purposes
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of applications
- Experience with administering web services on Linux using Nginx
- Experience in Jira, Confluence, and Git for project management and version control
- Experience with Puppet, Chef, or Ansible for infrastructure automation
- Knowledge of networking concepts and Internet protocols
- Strong problem-solving and QA skills
- Certification in at least one of the following: AWS, DevOps Engineer Professional, Kubernetes, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
- Fluent in English with advanced proficiency (C1+)
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
- Proficiency in VMware virtualization products such as ESX or vSphere
- Experience with Twilio, WebRTC, and Pexip for communication technologies
- Experience with AlertLogic and Tripwire for security monitoring
