Senior DevOps Engineer
We are currently seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our remote team and help us drive DevOps automation and containerization strategies using AWS and Azure DevOps. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing application requirements, anticipating system needs, and ensuring the availability and scalability of systems. You will also troubleshoot code and assist with the resolution of coding issues, coordinate the release of new or revised software or systems, and monitor performance.
Responsibilities
- Integrate the full software deployment lifecycle, serving as a liaison between application development teams and operational infrastructure teams
- Review application requirements and anticipate system needs to ensure availability and scalability of systems
- Troubleshoot code and assist with the resolution of coding issues
- Coordinate release of new or revised software or systems and monitor performance
- Monitor production systems, remediating production issues and implementing performance/cost improvements using APM and other tools
- Identify capacity and performance issues to ensure we meet our SLAs
- Build and manage pre-production environments
- Drive DevOps automation and containerization strategies that align with DevOps principles and standards
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on AWS and Azure DevOps
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Kubernetes
- Expertise with Docker and container orchestration technologies
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Strong understanding of networking and security concepts, including load balancers, firewalls, and SSL certificates
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK stack
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or IBM Cloud
- Familiarity with machine learning and data analytics tools
