We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our remote team and help shape the future of infrastructure as code for a leading global investment banking client. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure as code for the client's cloud-based environments. You will work closely with the development teams to ensure that the infrastructure is always up and running, and you will be responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure is secure, scalable, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure as code for the client's cloud-based environments
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that the infrastructure is always up and running, and that application releases are done smoothly
- Ensure that the infrastructure is secure, scalable, and reliable, and that proper backups and disaster recovery plans are in place
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual work
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other members of the DevOps team, helping them grow their skills and expertise
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud infrastructure, and apply them to the client's environment
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code development and maintenance, using tools such as Ansible, Terraform
- Experience with YAML, JSON, and other configuration file formats
- Experience with DevSecOps and security best practices for cloud environments
- Strong UNIX shell scripting skills for automation and orchestration
- Experience with Gitlab CI for continuous integration and deployment
- Experience with Grafana or other monitoring tools for infrastructure and application monitoring
- Experience with Python for automation and scripting
- Good spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration systems
- Experience with cloud providers other than AWS, such as Google Cloud or Azure
