Senior DevOps (AWS)

We are seeking an experienced remote Senior DevOps Engineer with a primary skillset in Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of DevOps, Terraform, and an Upper-Intermediate level of English. This individual will be responsible for analyzing and fixing current vulnerabilities and patching systems/applications/OS/DB while following existing procedures and practices defined by the client CloudOps team.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and document the current server setup, from the application & system user permission level
  • Create an installation and disaster recovery plan for servers and services
  • Set up resource constraints for applications that could cause trouble, such as installed antivirus programs
  • Implement proper and meaningful monitoring to escalate server or application issues
  • Coordinate and plan necessary tests, including non-regression, with the scrum team
Requirements
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in a DevOps engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
  • Knowledge of Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a scrum team environment
  • Upper-Intermediate level of English (written and verbal)

  • Experience with software and hi-tech industries
  • Ability to collect and analyze web access statistics, propose applications to remove, and manage server decommissioning through system management tools
