We are looking for a Middle DevOps Engineer to join our remote team. The primary focus of this role is to manage multi-cloud setups with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as the primary cloud and some workloads in Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role requires doing the due diligence on incoming requests, clarifying details, updating the build spreadsheet, requesting next-level approvals, and tracking progress. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for provisioning resources for all new migrations/deployments in the cloud, ecosystems-only provisioning, and 1-st level approvals for standard requests.
Responsibilities
- Manage multi-cloud setups with GCP as the primary cloud and some workloads in AWS
- Provision access permissions, FWs, APIs, Quota, processing other requests, and GCP Label Change tickets
- Provision resources for all new migrations/deployments in the cloud, ecosystems only provisioning (Resources in Jenkins, Vault, Git, Artifactory, birth-righted AppGate entitlements, projects/accounts in GCP, AWS clouds), and 1-st level approvals for standard requests
- Do due diligence of the incoming requests, clarify details, update build spreadsheet, request next level approvals, and track progress
- Provide support during cutover/migration and attend war room calls for troubleshooting activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Engage with your mentor for continuous learning and development of technical and soft skills
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a DevOps role with exposure to multi-cloud setups
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Google Cloud Platform, and Terraform
- Strong understanding of provisioning access permissions, FWs, APIs, Quota, processing other requests, and GCP Label Change tickets
- Ability to troubleshoot connections/permissions issues and raise and implement fixes effectively
- Experience in supporting during cutover/migration and attending war room calls for troubleshooting activities
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Fluent in written and spoken English, with at least an upper-intermediate level competency for effective communication with the team and stakeholders
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Amazon Web Services, Ansible, and Jenkins
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization technologies
