Lead DevOps Engineer for Insurance Company

Currently, we are looking for a Remote Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team.
The client is creating a digital platform for their insurance business. They will implement a core Insurnace platform which will integrate with multiple partners and channels in different markets. The first market will be in India and the next most likely Vietnam. A quick discovery is planned but then transitions into the first product implementation. Overall, after the first implementation there is a 18-24 month roadmap for additional markets/products.
Responsibilities
- Explore client systems and tools in connection with CI/CD
- Work with Cloud architects and Vendors to establish a CI/CD pipeline
- Design a DevOps strategy
- Implement DevOps development processes (version control strategy, code flow, application configuration strategy)
- Implement continuous integration (code quality, security policies, build strategy)
- Implement continuous delivery (release strategy, release management workflow, deployment patterns)
- Dependency management
- Security and Compliance (according to client guidelines and policies)
- Manage the infrastructure required for CI/CD
- Provide documentation, training to team members
- Act as the trusted technical advisor for the clients to resolve complex AWS Infrastructure and DevOps challenges
Requirements
- Proven knowledge of UNIX/Linux
- Hands on experience with OS and applications troubleshooting
- Experience maintaining internet facing production-grade applications in virtualised environments (cloud computing platforms and services)
- Experience with containerisation, artefact repository, and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with networking (NAT, DNS, firewalls, basic routing, load balancing, etc.)
- Knowledge of one or more scripting languages: Bash, Python, Perl, Groovy
- Knowledge of DevOps concepts and two or more of the following tools: Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes or Terraform
- Experience in source code management with git, knowledge of GitHub and/or GitLab
- Experience with one or more of the main Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP is considered a plus
- Agile mindset

- Experience working in the complete Software Development Lifecycle
- Fluency in English
- 3+ years of experience
