We are currently looking for a remote Lead DevOps Engineer with experience with Java, CI/CD implementations experience, various Atlassian products experience to join our team.
The customer is one of the world's leading pharmaceutical healthcare companies. Its principle business is medicines, biologics, vaccines, and consumer and animal products.
Your main job is to take care of Continuous delivery for our products, making sure that all parts are as fast and as resilient as possible, to make sure, that the system and the data there are available as agreed, to deliver to our scientists and manufacturing people IT solution that helps them to come with new groundbreaking medical treatments.
Responsibilities
- Communication & collaboration - participating in the discovery, refinement, articulation, and implementation of scalable software development patterns
- Coding – building Continuous delivery pipelines, including Infra-as-Code and using Bitbucket/Robot/Jenkins/Artifactory/Ansible/Docker/Groovy/Python and other such stuff
- Documentation and automation tool creation - make the team more scalable by creating self-documenting technical systems and building scripts and tools to boost developer productivity
- Operate – participate on follow-the-sun duties for the release pipelines and ensure that availability, performance and scalability are actually reached
- Science & Data Analysis - study production infrastructure and application monitoring & logging systems to help identify root causes behind complex problems, propose hypotheses, and conduct low risk experiments to prove or disprove hypotheses
Requirements
- Experience in development in scripting languages such as Groovy, UNIX shells, Python, Perl, etc.
- High-level experience with programming languages such as Java, Scala etc.
- Knowledge of administration of various flavors of Linux machines
- Knowledge of version control system (strong Git is a must, Gitflow is a plus)
- Various Atlassian products experience
- Experience with software build environments such as Maven, Gradle, npm, PyPy
- CI/CD implementations experience
- Experience with Jenkins pipelines and Groovy
- 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
- Proficient English (written and spoken) B2
Nice to have
- Experience with configuration tools such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, etc.
- Familiarity with cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, etc.
