We are currently looking for a remote Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team.
The customer is an American company distributing pharmaceuticals and providing health information technology, medical supplies, and care management tools.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the technical solution by providing leadership for the customer, project manager, domain architects, domain specialists and application engineers to advance and deliver solutions
- Analysing, executing, and streamlining DevOps practices
- Automating processes with the right tools
- Facilitating development process and operations
- Establishing a suitable DevOps channel across the organization
- Setting up a continuous build environment to speed up software development and deployment process
- Architecting overall, comprehensive, and efficient practices
- Guiding developers and operation teams in case of an issue
- Monitoring, reviewing, and managing technical operations
- Ability to manage teams with a leadership mindset
- Consulting and informing Architects to design and deliver solutions
- Assessing merits of alternative technical approaches and gain consensus for best approach
- Learn, follow, promote, and improve recognized methodologies to design and deliver solutions
- Ensuring that the non-functional requirements are satisfied including, but not limited to, security, disaster recovery, availability, and performance
- Mentoring IT professionals
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as DevOps Engineer
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Be able to work with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
- Ability to manage teams with a leadership mindset
- Solid Linux/Unix systems administration background
- Familiarity with E-commerce domain
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration orchestration
- Knowledge of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment orchestration
- Infrastructure as Code
- Public Cloud: Google Cloud Platform
- Container orchestration: Kubernetes (GKE), Docker Swarm
- Docker, Docker Compose
- Jenkins, Jenkins shared libraries, Jenkins DSL, Pipelines, Groovy
- Helm Charts
- Configuration Management - Ansible
- SCM - source control management
- GitHub, GitHub Actions, gitflow
- BuildTools: Ant, Maven, Gradle, Node
- Selenoid, Selenoid GGR, Report Portal
- Java support and troubleshooting, Apache Solr, ZooKeeper, SAP Hybris (e-commerce), Tomcat
- Artifacts management, Artifactory
- Sonarqube, quality gates, VeraCode
- Experience with load balancers / reverse proxies (nginx)
- Network, Network troubleshooting
