We are looking for a highly skilled remote Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team and work on an exciting project involving advanced Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines solution across multiple subscriptions and environments.

You will be responsible for working on data workload performance improvements, monitoring, issue troubleshooting, and prevention. Additionally, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Architecture teams to ensure all aspects of the platform architecture and design standards complement the support model.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the performance and reliability of the Azure Cloud infrastructure and associated services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices
  • Identify opportunities to optimize activities in the data platforms, support activities, processes, and implement mechanisms to automate/streamline activities
  • Work with the SRE team on the support of the platform, including troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures
  • Develop and maintain documentation of the infrastructure, processes, and procedures
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of the DevOps process and infrastructure, utilizing your knowledge of Azure Cloud services and industry best practices
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the junior team members
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
  • Expertise in Azure Cloud services (extended support)
  • Experience with Azure PowerShell and Terraform
  • Proficiency with automation and streamlining activities, including automating administrative activities, infrastructure, and application deployments
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, architects, and management
  • Proficient in English language, with an C1 level of competency for effective communication with the team and stakeholders
Nice to have
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks
  • Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage and Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure DevOps experience
