Lead DevOps Engineer

We are currently seeking a remote Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team.

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will oversee the management of multiple products and lead technical teams through all software development life cycle phases. Your strategic thinking and utilization of processes, tools, and frameworks will ensure effectiveness across various stakeholders. Your role will involve creating organizational alignment to unify the team towards the same vision.

Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with peers in Security, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Product teams to improve quality and velocity of teams’ deliverables using automation, metrics, and goal setting
  • Develop AWS Infrastructure as Code using AWS Cloud Development Kit via Python OR Node.js
  • Develop features for and maintain a shared pipeline using Gitlab CI
  • Provide technical guidance and support via engineering design reviews for large-scale solutions and deployment of service-oriented architecture
  • Direct the activities necessary to design and develop innovative technical solutions for programs and ensure seamless technology infrastructure
  • Ensure appropriate resources are available for systems' incident support and troubleshooting
  • Leverage partnerships with IT teams and vendors to ensure written code adheres to company architectural standards and technical specifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field 
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mid to large-scale IT projects, including complex cross-functional and cross-organizational projects
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting software development and operations via methods like automated deployments, infrastructure as code in AWS
  • At least 2 years of experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership and experience overseeing vendor relationships
  • Proficiency in modern agile software methodologies and planning tools
  • Knowledge of AWS Cloud Development Kit
  • B2+ English level proficiency
