Lead AWS Engineer

We are seeking a remote Lead AWS Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for migrating on-premise environment to AWS, using security best practices, EKS. You will also advise the client's team on how to optimize their service costs and performance on AWS. You will build a secure and scalable AWS environment from scratch, using Terraform, Kubernetes, EKS, and deploy and manage products on EC2 instances using Helm charts and Ingress controllers.

Responsibilities
  • Migrate existing applications and data to AWS, using lift and shift approach
  • Build a secure and scalable AWS environment from scratch, using Terraform, Kubernetes and EKS
  • Deploy and manage products on EC2 instances, using Helm charts and Ingress controllers
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on how to use AWS services effectively, such as OpenSearch, etc.
  • Collaborate with Global Services team and the other client's team to ensure a smooth and successful migration and operation
  • Ensure the AWS environment is secure, cost-optimized, and performs well
  • Lead the team of experienced engineers
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in GCP or AWS engineering, with a focus on security, K8S/EKS, and Landing Zones
  • 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services and tools, such as EC2, S3, OpenSearch, etc.
  • Proficient in Terraform, Helm, and Ingress controllers
  • Experience in migrating and deploying applications and data to AWS, using lift and shift approach
  • Experience in setting up a Landing Zone, collaborating with stakeholders, and providing guidance and recommendations on how to use AWS services effectively
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Upper-Intermediate level of English language proficiency
