3rd Line Software Maintenance Developer for a Healthcare Company

We are currently looking for a remote 3rd Line Software Maintenance Developer with 6+ months of DevOps experience and Groovy knowledge to join our team.

The customer is one of the world's leading pharmaceutical healthcare companies. Its principal business is medicines, biologics, vaccines, and consumer and animal products.

Responsibilities
  • Taking care of Continuous delivery for software products, making sure that all parts are as fast and as resilient as possible
  • Making sure the system and the data are available as agreed
  • Delivering to our scientists and manufacturing people IT solution that helps them to come with new groundbreaking medical treatments
  • Communicating & collaborating - participating in the discovery, refinement, articulation, and implementation of scalable software development patterns
  • Coding – building Continuous delivery pipelines, including Infra-as-Code and using BitBucket/Robot/Jenkins/Artifactory/Ansible/Docker/Groovy/Python and others
  • Documenting and automating tool creation - making the team more scalable by creating self-documenting technical systems and building scripts and tools to boost developer productivity
  • Operating – participating on follow-the-sun duties for the release pipelines and ensure that availability, performance and scalability are actually reached
  • Analyzing science & data  - study production infrastructure and application monitoring & logging systems to help identifying root causes behind complex problems, propose hypotheses, and conduct low risk experiments to prove or disprove hypotheses
Requirements
  • 6+ months of DevOps experience
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Groovy, UNIX shells, Python, Perl, etc.
  • Experience with high-level programming languages such as Java, Scala etc.
  • Experience with various Atlassian products
  • Experience with Jenkins pipelines and Groovy
  • Curiosity, communication, enthusiasm
  • Desire to learn new things
  • Administration of various flavors of Linux machines
  • Familiarity with version control system (strong Git is a must, GitFlow is a plus)
  • Familiarity with software build environments such as Maven, Gradle, npm, PyPy
  • CI/CD implementations experience
  • English level proficiency B1
Nice to have
  • Configuration tools such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, etc.
  • Cloud solutions skills such as AWS, Azure, etc.
