We're looking for a Lead Software Engineer skilled in Java and microservices to head up a development team and oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Guide and coach a team of software engineers across the development lifecycle
- Manage the design, development, and deployment of technical solutions
- Build, implement, and maintain Java-based solutions optimized for high-volume, low-latency performance
- Participate in every phase of the software development lifecycle
- Assess user requirements to establish business objectives
- Verify that application designs align with business goals
- Detect and troubleshoot technical issues as they emerge
- Collaborate with architects and the technology team to stay aligned with technical strategy
- Investigate and assess technical solutions that address business needs
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to the development team
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in software development
- Strong command of Java (Core), Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), and Spring Data/JPA
- Deep knowledge of RESTful API design and development, along with Hibernate or comparable ORM frameworks
- Proficiency in React.js (hooks, functional components, state management), JavaScript (ES6+), and HTML5/CSS3
- Hands-on experience connecting frontend (React) with backend (Java/Spring) and using Git for version control
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (such as PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Ability to debug and resolve issues across the full technology stack
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
- Self-driven and proactive mindset
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and emerging technologies
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
