We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Java with Microservices to own backend design and raise engineering standards across distributed services. You will build Java 21/Quarkus microservices, integrate RESTful APIs, and ensure secure deployments on Azure Cloud with Kubernetes and CI/CD. Apply now to help shape the architecture.

Responsibilities
  • Create enterprise-grade applications with Java and Spring Boot
  • Lead the architecture and implementation of microservices deployed to cloud platforms
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with frontend applications
  • Collaborate across functions to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions
  • Provide code review leadership and technical guidance to engineering team members
  • Ensure architectural decisions align with quality, security, reliability, and compliance requirements
  • Apply Agile and DevOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Administer CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery processes
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across the full application stack
  • Use containerization and orchestration tooling to deploy and manage services
Requirements
  • Extensive 5+ years of experience in design and development using Java 21, Quarkus, and Java/JEE
  • High proficiency with Spring Boot, Spring Security, and JUnit
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle, Sybase, and PL/SQL
  • Proven experience in microservices architecture, Azure Cloud, and Serverless solutions
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes, including pods, containers, services, and Istio
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Redis
  • Strong capability in RESTful APIs and connecting backend services with frontend applications
  • Experience using Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and working in Agile teams
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and React (including Hooks)
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience in performance tuning and DevOps
  • Ability to implement UX designs into responsive, scalable, maintainable UI solutions using accepted standards and patterns
