Find me a jobEPAM Systems is seeking a versatile and experienced Learning Experience Designer and Technical Content Project Manager to join our growing team in India. In this client-facing role, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-impact instructional and knowledge content that enables user success across digital platforms. You will collaborate directly with product managers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and client stakeholders to deliver clear, consistent, and user-centric content aligned with project goals and business outcomes. In this role, you will contribute to project management and serve as the main communication and escalation point for the US-based Team Lead, with approximately 70% time as an individual contributor and 30% as a project manager.
- Act as the key communication point in India for the US Team Lead to ensure project alignment
- Collaborate with the US Team Lead to delegate and manage workflow for a follow-the-sun model
- Align the India-based team with a global team and practice
- Lead end-to-end instructional design and content development for digital learning and support initiatives, including e-learning, video tutorials, performance support, and help content
- Design and develop knowledge base content, including FAQs, how-to articles, user guides, and process documentation
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and SME teams to gather requirements, define learning and content objectives, and translate complex concepts into engaging, user-friendly content
- Conduct content audits and gap analyses; maintain and update content to reflect product changes and evolving user needs
- Manage stakeholder communications, facilitate content reviews, maintain project roadmaps and deliverable tracking, and participate in regular project meetings with clients
- Ensure content quality through editing, reviews, and style guide alignment, and provide targeted coaching to team members as needed
- Operate across global teams and time zones to align deliverables and manage timelines effectively
- Support project reporting, milestone reviews, and success metrics
- 8+ years of overall experience
- Native or C2 proficiency in spoken and written language
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design, technical writing, and/or content development, including end-to-end content life cycle management
- 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining knowledge bases or help centers in a product or platform environment
- 1-2 years of formal project management experience
- Formal credentials in instructional design and/or technical writing OR the relevant professional experience
- Proven ability to engage with cross-functional teams and lead content strategy across complex projects
- Strong experience drafting and editing content for a variety of formats and audiences, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency
- Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders in meetings and content reviews
- Ability to apply strong consultative behaviors, identify opportunities to enhance client impact and value, and effectively communicate insights
- Demonstrated success operating across global teams, managing multiple deadlines, and adapting to diverse cultural and organizational contexts
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Confluence, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, e-learning development tools, Articulate, or similar content platforms
- Experience with content governance, version control, and structured authoring
- Familiarity with agile development environments and working alongside product or engineering teams
- Exposure to digital adoption platforms, LMS, or knowledge management systems (e.g., WalkMe, Adobe Learning Manager, AEM Guides)
- Experience incorporating AI tools into content development workflows
