UX Technical Writer

We are hiring a UX Technical Writer to join our remote Design System team.

As part of a small, collaborative team, you will be responsible for creating technical, user, and product documentation that guides users on how to effectively use and work with our design system. Your role will be situated within the user experience organization, specifically under the design system team, so having a foundational understanding of product design is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Research, write, edit, and revise engaging and accessible content for the design system, catering to both technical and non-technical users
  • Develop various types of technical documentation, including instruction manuals, integration guides, API developer guides, configuration instructions, component usage best practices, UI/UX do’s and don’ts, and accessibility recommendations
  • Produce educational resources such as demonstrations, tutorials, videos, training materials, guided tours, technical overviews, and FAQs
  • Collaborate with various brands to evolve and align on brand voice, tone, content, and UX guidelines within the design system
  • Gain a detailed understanding of the product and documentation requirements by collaborating with internal teams and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical writing role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Understanding of design systems
  • Experience working on digital products
  • Experience with UI/UX best practices and front-end development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have
  • Proficiency in Figma is a plus
  • Experience with Kontent.ai or any other CMS is a plus
