We are looking for an exceptionally capable and forward-thinking Trading Application Support Engineer to become part of our team.

The Trading Application Support Engineer will offer essential technical assistance to the trading desk and back-office functions with a focus on bond and loan trading. The right candidate will bring a solid grasp of financial instruments, outstanding problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to perform well in a fast-moving, high-pressure setting. The ideal individual should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have the personality needed to interact effectively with traders, portfolio managers, and operations personnel. They should be a natural collaborator, working smoothly with others to understand and fulfill requirements. The support engineer should be able to see the bigger picture and take a proactive stance in enhancing the daily support function. The candidate must display outstanding programming and data management proficiency, strong spoken and written communication abilities, and align culturally with values centered on teamwork, excellence, and results.

Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt daily technical assistance for the trading platform and Business-to-Business integration flows
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders including traders, portfolio managers, operations, analysts, and finance/compliance experts to carry out requirements gathering, application design, and delivery
  • Maintain a rigorous software development lifecycle standard with a firm focus on automated testing and regression coverage
  • Establish and keep up a professional-grade internal knowledge repository to enable smooth operations and shared learning
  • Conduct training for business users and guide new team members through the tools and processes to ensure a seamless transition
  • Actively support and strengthen the team's culture, overarching vision, and mission
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on professional experience, or comparable exposure within the financial industry, with a solid grasp of, or clear ability to rapidly learn, financial securities, especially bonds and loans
  • Solid hands-on background with SQL Server T-SQL for building queries, writing scripts, and managing data
  • Applied experience with Microsoft SQL Server for supporting and administering trading-focused databases
  • Verified experience in Python programming for automation tasks, scripting, and integration work
  • Proven skill in maintaining and merging new development into existing codebases while ensuring stability and code quality
  • Practical familiarity with Linux, covering commands, diagnostic techniques, and issue resolution
  • Working knowledge of GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD pipeline management
  • Sharp troubleshooting and analytical mindset, paired with strong attention to detail
  • Clear cultural alignment through collaborative behavior, a self-driven and proactive attitude, focus on outcomes, and personal integrity
  • Confident English communication skills at B2 level or higher, in both writing and speech
Nice to have
  • Previous exposure to Everest is highly preferred, although not mandatory
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for handling data integration and reporting needs
  • Practical experience with XML, XPath, and XSLT for structured data manipulation and transformation
  • Familiarity with trading platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin or Charles River
  • Background in portfolio accounting solutions, for example Geneva
  • Applied understanding of job scheduling tools such as ActiveBatch, Control-M, or Autosys
  • Grasp of HTTP protocols and web API design fundamentals
