We are seeking a Solution Architect (Java) to join our remote team. This role is well-suited for candidates who excel in dynamic environments and are passionate about designing and implementing robust Java solutions. You'll engage with diverse projects, contributing to enterprise-level application architecture and design. Partner with cross-functional teams to foster innovation and deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams to define business requirements and system goals
  • Develop high-level product specifications with a focus on system integration and feasibility
  • Create detailed architecture and design artifacts illustrating how business, information, and technology architectures integrate within a solution
  • Define and validate technical requirements for new applications and improvements to existing ones
  • Guide the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications
  • Evaluate existing systems for effectiveness and suggest refinements to improve efficiency
  • Provide technical leadership and support to software development teams
  • Ensure architectural designs align with business needs and organizational goals
  • Conduct architectural assessments and reviews at key project milestones
  • Communicate system requirements and schedules to management and stakeholders
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of IT experience focused on Solution Architecture
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Engagement in at least two complete project lifecycles or in multiple projects spanning various development lifecycle phases
  • Expertise in AWS, including its management and deployment services
  • Solid understanding of architectural foundations and software development methodologies
  • Background in systems design, API design, database frameworks, and programming concepts
  • Familiarity with architecture methodologies and software development life cycles
  • Proficiency in Microservices, Event Mesh, and Data pipelines
  • Knowledge of BigQuery, Cloud Storage, both Structured and Unstructured Data
  • Understanding of Elastic, CI/CD Pipelines, API-First strategies, Observability, and Kafka
  • Excellent communication skills in English with at least a B2 proficiency level
Nice to have
  • Certifications in Architecture like TOGAF, EACOE, or similar
  • Background in agile development methodologies
  • Showcase of experience with Azure or GCP cloud platforms
