We are on the hunt for a dynamic Solution Architect (Java) to join our remote team. Responsibilities
- Engage with project teams to pinpoint business requirements and establish system goals
- Develop detailed product specifications with a focus on system integration and feasibility
- Generate in-depth architectural and design documentation to direct the deployment of business, information, and technology solutions
- Set and verify technical requirements for new software applications and enhancements to existing applications
- Guide the architectural design process and supervise the development and implementation of Java-based applications
- Review existing systems to evaluate their performance and recommend adjustments to improve business operations
- Provide technical leadership and support to software development teams
- Ensure architectural plans align with business needs and organizational goals
- Conduct architectural reviews and offer insights during crucial project stages
- Communicate system requirements and project timelines to stakeholders and management
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of IT experience with a specialization in Solution Architecture
- At least 2 years of experience in leading a team of 5 or more employees in managerial or ownership roles
- Participation in at least 2 full-cycle projects or multiple projects spanning various phases of the development lifecycle
- Comprehensive knowledge of AWS, including its management and deployment features
- Solid understanding of architectural fundamentals and software development methodologies
- Proficiency in systems design, API design, database frameworks, and programming concepts
- Knowledge of architectural methodologies and the software development life cycles
- Expertise in managing Microservices, Event Mesh, and Data pipelines
- Experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and managing both Structured and Unstructured Data
- Familiarity with Elastic, CI/CD Pipelines, API-First strategies, Observability, and Kafka
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Certifications in Architecture, such as TOGAF, EACOE, or similar
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Proficiency in using Azure or GCP cloud platforms
