We are seeking a Solution Architect (Java) to join our remote team. This position is tailored for individuals who excel in dynamic environments and are passionate about designing and implementing robust Java-based solutions. You will take part in varied projects, shaping the architecture and design of enterprise-level applications. Collaborate alongside cross-functional teams to foster innovation and deliver top-tier solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to clarify business requirements and system objectives
- Develop high-level product specifications with a focus on system integration and feasibility
- Create detailed architecture and design artifacts describing the use of business, information, and technology architectures in a solution
- Define and validate technical requirements for new applications and enhancements to existing ones
- Guide the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications
- Evaluate current systems for effectiveness and propose optimizations to meet business requirements more efficiently
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to software development teams
- Ensure architectural designs align with business priorities and organizational goals
- Conduct architectural assessments and reviews during critical project milestones
- Communicate system requirements and project timelines to management and stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of IT experience with a core focus on Solution Architecture
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership-focused capacity
- Involvement in at least 2 completed full-cycle projects or comparable experience across various project lifecycle stages
- Proficiency in AWS, including its management and deployment services
- Comprehensive understanding of architectural foundations and software development methodologies
- Skills in systems design, API design, database frameworks, and core programming concepts
- Familiarity with architecture methodologies and software development life cycles
- Expertise in Microservices, Event Mesh, and Data pipelines
- Experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, structured, and unstructured data
- Knowledge of Elastic, CI/CD Pipelines, API-First strategies, Observability, and Kafka
- Strong communication skills in English, meeting at least a B2 proficiency level
Nice to have
- Showcase of certifications related to architecture, such as TOGAF, EACOE, or equivalents
- Background in agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with Azure or GCP cloud platforms
