We are seeking a Solution Architect (Java) to join our remote team. This position is designed for individuals who excel in a dynamic environment and are passionate about creating and delivering reliable Java-based solutions. You will contribute to multiple projects, focusing on the architecture and design of enterprise-grade applications. Work closely with diverse teams to inspire innovation and ensure the delivery of top-quality outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to outline business requirements and define system objectives
- Develop high-level product specifications, emphasizing system integration and feasibility
- Create detailed architecture and design documents outlining the use of business, information, and technology components in solutions
- Define and assess technical requirements for new applications and improvements to existing ones
- Guide the design, creation, and distribution of Java-based applications
- Evaluate current systems to analyze their efficiency and recommend adjustments for better alignment with business goals
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software development teams
- Ensure architectural designs meet both organizational goals and customer needs
- Conduct architectural assessments and provide feedback during significant project milestones
- Communicate system specifications and timelines clearly to management and stakeholders
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years in the IT field with a specialization in Solution Architecture
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in relevant roles
- Hands-on experience across at least 2 full project lifecycles or active participation in multiple project phases
- Proficiency in AWS, including its management and deployment capabilities
- Solid understanding of core architectural principles and software development practices
- Background in systems design, database frameworks, API design, and core programming concepts
- Familiarity with architecture methodologies and the software development life cycle
- Proficiency in Microservices, Event Mesh, and Data pipelines
- Skills in BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and working with both structured and unstructured data
- Knowledge of Elastic, CI/CD Pipelines, API-First approaches, Observability, and Kafka
- Excellent English communication skills, at least at a B2 level
Nice to have
- Showcase of certifications in Architecture such as TOGAF, EACOE, or equivalents
- Background in agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with Azure or GCP cloud platforms
