We are seeking a Solution Architect (Java) to join our high-powered team. This position is perfect for someone energized by designing and implementing robust Java solutions in a dynamic environment. You will contribute to the architecture and design of enterprise-level applications across various projects. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to define business requirements and system goals
- Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
- Create detailed architecture and design artifacts explaining how business, information, and technology components will contribute to a solution
- Define and validate technical requirements for new applications and enhancements to existing ones
- Guide the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications
- Evaluate existing systems for effectiveness and make recommendations to enhance efficiency in meeting business needs
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to software development teams
- Ensure architectural designs consistently align with business needs and organizational goals
- Conduct architectural assessments and reviews during major milestones of projects
- Communicate system requirements and timelines to management and other stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years of IT experience with a focus on Solution Architecture
- 2+ years of experience leading teams of 5 or more employees in Manager/Owner or comparable roles
- Background in participating in at least 2 full project lifecycles or multiple projects spanning different development phases
- Knowledge of AWS and its management and deployment services
- Understanding of the foundations of architecture and software development methodologies
- Skills in systems design, API design, database frameworks, and programming concepts
- Familiarity with architecture methodologies and software development lifecycles
- Proficiency in Microservices, Event Mesh, and Data pipelines
- Expertise in BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and working with both structured and unstructured data
- Knowledge of Elastic, CI/CD Pipelines, API-First strategies, Observability, and Kafka
- Showcase of excellent English-speaking and writing skills at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Certifications in Architecture, including TOGAF, EACOE, or comparable credentials
- Understanding of agile development methodologies
- Proficiency in Azure or GCP cloud platforms
