Responsibilities
- Analyze, document, and assess the current database architecture and infrastructure
- Recommend optimal technical strategies and best practices to modernize legacy database systems
- Oversee database upgrades, re-architecture efforts, infrastructure improvements, schema design, and data modeling
- Supervise data migration and the implementation of real-time replication processes
- Collaborate with team members to develop and refine database design solutions
- Conduct database performance testing and optimize database efficiency
- Perform root cause assessments and resolve performance-related issues
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software design and development
- 5+ years working as a hands-on Sybase production Database Administrator
- 2+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Expertise in database architecture and configuration
- Understanding of general database design and development standards
- Background in working with very large databases or data warehousing
- Proficient English (written and spoken) at a B2 level
