We are searching for a remote Solution Architect with expertise in Sybase.

In this critical role, you will contribute to the evolution of our database architecture. A strong background in software design and development with a focus on Sybase is essential as we work to update and enhance our legacy systems. Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze current database architecture and infrastructure
  • Document system components and identify areas for improvement
  • Recommend optimal technical strategies to modernize a legacy database system
  • Oversee infrastructure upgrades, schema design, and data modeling efforts
  • Manage data migration and real-time replication tasks effectively
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop improved database designs
  • Conduct performance evaluations and tuning for optimal database operations
  • Perform root cause analysis to resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in software design and development
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Sybase production Database Administrator
  • 2+ years in a leadership role within database-focused projects
  • Expertise in database architecture and configuration
  • Knowledge of general database design and development principles
  • Familiarity with very large databases and data warehousing solutions
  • Proficiency in English communication (written and spoken) at a B2 level
Nice to have
  • Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
