Find me a jobWe are seeking a Software Engineer – Platform Reliability (C++/Java/Python) in Singapore. You’ll build and run highly scalable electronic trading platforms where latency and uptime matter every day. Partner with engineers and business stakeholders to automate delivery, strengthen observability and modernize services using cloud and microservices, while still shipping production code in C++, Java or Python.
Responsibilities
- Build and deliver new features and enhancements across trading services using C++, Java and Python
- Automate build, test and deployment workflows aligned to DevOps practices
- Monitor services, troubleshoot production issues and lead incident resolution to restore stability fast
- Improve system performance, latency and capacity through measurement and tuning
- Strengthen reliability through better alerting, dashboards and operational runbooks
- Modernize architecture toward cloud-centric microservices and platform standards
- Partner with sales and trading stakeholders to clarify requirements and shape practical solutions
Requirements
- Proven experience building production software in C++ plus Java or Python
- Strong background in data structures, algorithms and software design fundamentals
- Hands-on experience supporting Linux-based services in production environments
- Experience working with distributed systems and microservices patterns
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across code, infrastructure and dependencies
- Clear communication with both technical and business stakeholders across locations
- Ownership mindset with structured problem-solving and follow-through
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm and Docker for deployment and operations
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka or similar event streaming platforms
- Experience with observability tooling such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana
