We are currently looking for a remote Software Architect to clarify details of data transformation architecture and to create a low-level design of data transformations that are efficient, reliable and cost-effective.
The customer is a provider of high-quality business services in such areas as IT, Procurement, HR, Product Lifecycle Services, Financial Reporting and Analytics, and Real Estate and Facility Services.
Responsibilities
- Designing Solution and Data Architectures based on Formula One architecture
- Proposing solutions for data ingestion, storage, enrichment, data quality checking, cataloging and processing, incl. suggested use of the off-the-shelf solutions or recommendation to develop KO-specific elements (i.e., APIs)
- Designing data structures such as Databases, Data Warehouses and Multidimensional Databases, Data Lakes
- Optimizing Big Data database and network traffic performances
- Proposing and implementing security best practices
- Bring industry best practices to the project team and help to implement them in the project environment
- Review current solution architecture and propose improvements and changes
- Help to make day to day architectural decisions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as big data DFS developer and/or Big Data architect/team lead
- Proficient with most of the Big Data technology, ‘must-have’ needs include AWS data services (S3, Redshift), Spark, SQL, DataBricks
- Good grasp of basic Data Science concepts and Python, enabling to foresee issues with certain algorithms and offering technological solutions to that remediation
- Proficient English (written and spoken) B2
