We are seeking an experienced Service Delivery Manager - HPC & ITIL/ITSM responsible for the end-to-end delivery of HPC services and solutions, empowering scientists and researchers to accelerate innovation. This role acts as a bridge between research and IT departments, ensuring seamless operation, optimization and strategic evolution of the HPC environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of HPC infrastructure, including compute clusters, storage systems and software stack
- Collaborate with research and development teams to understand computational needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Lead projects for expansion and enhancement of HPC capabilities, managing timelines, budgets and resources
- Contribute to the long-term roadmap for HPC, staying updated on emerging technologies like AI, machine learning and quantum computing
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations
- Provide user support and develop training programs for researchers
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data privacy standards and internal security policies
Requirements
- 13 to 15 years of overall professional experience
- Proven experience managing large-scale HPC environments, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or research-intensive industries
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related scientific discipline
- Deep understanding of HPC architecture, cluster management and parallel file systems
- Knowledge of high-speed interconnects and job scheduling
- Strong project management and leadership skills with excellent communication abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex technical issues
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud-based HPC and containerization technologies
