Find me a jobWe are seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our dynamic, startup-like environment, where you will work closely with product managers, developers, architects, customers, and domain experts. As a collaborative team player, you will contribute to a wide variety of tasks, including the creation of customer research artifacts, user journey maps, low-to-high fidelity prototypes, and usability studies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research using explorative methods (e.g., discovery workshops), descriptive methods (e.g., validation of storyboards through usability studies), and confirmatory methods (e.g., surveys)
- Collaborate and communicate professionally with clients and internal teams during customer engagements
- Map user journeys of as-is business processes and to-be processes
- Design user experiences ranging from low-fidelity sketches and wireframes to hi-fidelity pixel-perfect mockups
- Develop interactive reporting dashboards and various types of visualizations
- Communicate design principles, direction, and specifications to engineers in a highly detailed manner
- Validate ideas and designs through usability tests, A/B tests, and product performance analysis
- Measure recently released product features to establish benchmarks and identify potential areas of improvement
- Create rapid prototypes to validate design concepts with stakeholders and customers
- Stay abreast of UX trends and seek out creative ideas and inspiration
- Influence cross-functional product teams and the organization to achieve solutions that align with customer needs and the product vision
Requirements
- 4+ years of UX or interaction design experience, including experience with responsive web design and frameworks
- Showcase of well-designed responsive grid-based layouts and a strong work portfolio that demonstrates systematic and creative design thinking, along with a deep understanding of UI/UX best practices
- Advanced skills in interaction design (ideally application design or design concepts)
- Capability to recognize and predict use cases and user interactions, including happy path as well as edge and corner cases, and incorporate them into designs
- Competency to explore, identify, and validate user needs
- Proficiency in Mural, Figma, Axure, and Balsamiq
- Understanding of information design/architecture, principles, and user psychology
- Familiarity with Design Thinking centered around the customer
- Ability to manage time wisely across projects and competing priorities, meet agreed-upon deadlines, and take accountability for work
- Strong team orientation with the ability to thrive on virtual, international, cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal, written, and board/executive-level presentation skills in English (B2 level), with the ability to effectively engage and convey ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
- Creative and analytical thinking, along with a demonstrated ability to learn complex technology
Nice to have
- Background in SAP Fiori
- Knowledge of Fiori Design Guidelines
- Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3
