We are seeking a UX Designer to support a AAA fighting game project in Unreal Engine 5.

This role will define, prototype, document, and refine user experiences across frontend, engagement systems, and in-match gameplay UI. The project is moving from pre-production into production. The UI direction is still evolving, and the team may leverage existing design systems where useful while also defining project-specific patterns. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working collaboratively with UI Art, UI Technical Design, Engineering, Gameplay Design, VFX, Sound, and Production.

Responsibilities
  • Design user flows, wireframes, interaction models, prototypes, and UX documentation for a AAA fighting game
  • Deliver UX solutions spanning frontend, engagement systems, and in-match gameplay UI
  • Partner with UI Artists and UI Technical Designers early in the design process to ensure UX concepts are visually compelling and technically achievable
  • Translate product, gameplay, and player needs into clear UX structures and interaction patterns
  • Create and maintain UX flows using tools such as Figma, HTML prototypes, and in-engine mockups where appropriate
  • Codify designs into prototypes, design documentation, and implementation-ready specifications
  • Support mobile-centric UX while making sure the experience remains playable across all supported platforms in the game ecosystem
  • Define UX behavior for navigation, input, responsiveness, accessibility considerations, onboarding, engagement loops, gameplay HUD elements, and live-service touchpoints
  • Collaborate with UI Engineering and UI Technical Design to address implementation questions and resolve edge cases
  • Work with VFX and sound stakeholders to ensure interaction feedback, UI motion, and celebratory moments align with the intended player experience
  • Review in-engine implementation and provide feedback to preserve the original UX intent
  • Support publishing activities, seasonal updates, post-release iteration, and live-service improvements
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional relevant experience in UX design
  • Strong background designing UX for games or complex interactive products
  • Hands-on experience creating player flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design documentation
  • Solid understanding of game UI patterns, player motivation, engagement systems, navigation, onboarding, and feedback loops
  • Experience designing for multi-platform products, with particular focus on mobile-centric experiences
  • Proficiency with Figma for creating UX artifacts and collaborating on design work
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with UI Art, UI Technical Design, Engineering, Gameplay Design, Production, Sound, and VFX disciplines
  • Ability to communicate design intent clearly through prototypes, documentation, reviews, and direct collaboration
  • Comfort working on projects where visual direction and design systems are still evolving
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to design UX that scales across multiple game features and updates
  • Ability to balance expressive, animated UI with usability, clarity, and responsiveness
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2 level or higher, both written and verbal
Nice to have
  • Experience contributing to AAA, live-service, fighting, action, multiplayer, or competitive games
  • Background designing UI for mobile-first game experiences
  • Practical experience with Unreal Engine, UMG, or in-engine prototyping workflows
  • Familiarity using HTML prototypes as part of the UX design process
  • Experience adapting existing design systems to fit new products
  • Exposure to supporting seasonal content, publishing workflows, and post-launch UX iteration
  • Familiarity with approved AI-assisted tools for ideation, prototyping, documentation, or workflow acceleration
