Senior User Experience Researcher

We are seeking a remote Senior User Experience Researcher to lead a portfolio of work within the Shopping domain. In this role, you will conduct research to identify user needs and product market fit to inform strategy and capabilities to be built. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders within highly-matrixed, cross-functional project teams, you will refine research requests and develop research plans using methods appropriate to addressing research questions. Your experience strategy and qualitative methods in conducting moderated or unmoderated research will be essential in conducting usability studies and iterative design research.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research to identify user needs and product market fit to help inform strategy and capabilities to be built
  • Refine research requests in collaboration with multiple stakeholders within highly-matrixed, cross-functional project teams
  • Recruit participants representing target audience, conduct moderated or unmoderated research, and analyze results
  • Report findings and relevant insights to cross-functional project teams and archive results
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to better understand business needs and the context of problem areas and target users
  • Tailor communications (content focus, style, format, etc.) for different audiences as appropriate
  • Collaborate with experience and content designers within the human-centered design process to design exceptional experiences for customers
  • Facilitate the gathering and synthesizing of diverse insights in ambiguous problem spaces
  • Apply and adapt design and research processes to fit needs of project
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as a User Experience Researcher, conducting qualitative research in a product development setting
  • Strong experience in developing research plans using methods appropriate to addressing research questions
  • Experience with Research & Insights
  • Proven ability to recruit participants representing target audience, conduct moderated or unmoderated research, and analyze results
  • Experience in reporting findings and relevant insights to cross-functional project teams, tailoring communication for different audiences as appropriate
  • Deep knowledge in low-to-medium complexity surveys, focus groups, diary studies, participatory design, contextual inquiry, concept study, Kano, card sorting (open & closed), and tree-testing
  • Excellent relationship-building skills to better understand business needs and the context of problem areas and target users
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, with at least an Upper-Intermediate level competency
