We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to build reliable automated test coverage for web applications running on Java microservices and React. You’ll design scalable UI automation using Selenium with Java or Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript, expand API testing, integrate suites into CI/CD, reduce flaky tests and partner with Agile teams to improve quality end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- Review user stories and define manual and automated test coverage
- Build and maintain UI automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java or Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript
- Evolve a scalable automation framework using maintainable patterns and reusable components
- Develop API automation using REST Assured, Karate or equivalent tools
- Integrate automated suites into Jenkins or approved CI/CD pipelines
- Analyze failures, reduce flakiness and improve execution speed
- Manage defects and validation workflows in Jira or equivalent tools
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies with engineering and product teams
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with UI test automation using Selenium WebDriver or Playwright
- Programming skill sets in Java or TypeScript or JavaScript with strong object-oriented or modern coding practices
- Experience building or extending test automation frameworks and maintaining scalable suites
- Knowledge of API automation and REST fundamentals using tools such as REST Assured or Karate
- Familiarity with test runners such as JUnit, TestNG or equivalent frameworks
- Experience with version control and build tooling such as Git, Maven or Gradle
- Exposure to CI/CD integration using Jenkins or similar tooling
- Understanding of microservices testing with troubleshooting and defect isolation skills
