We are looking for a Senior Technical Artist to join our team. This role blends artistic sensibility with technical depth to shape polished, high-performing visual experiences within a collaborative studio setting. You'll work at the intersection of art and engineering, helping define how visual craft comes together across a range of platforms. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving creative challenges through a technical lens.

Responsibilities
  • Build refined, high-performing technical art solutions leveraging materials, UMG, animation, FX, lighting, Blueprints, and camera systems within UE4/5
  • Establish forward-thinking tech art templates, thematic direction, and guiding principles for the product's evolving UI
  • Develop unified visual patterns governing motion, FX, UI transitions, scale, and proportion across the experience
  • Determine how tech art scales across diverse platforms, balancing visual fidelity against performance constraints
  • Take ownership of tooling and asset management practices related to UI tech art for the broader team
  • Guide and support the growth of visual designers and UI artists through mentorship
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on, relevant experience as a Technical Artist, UI Tech Artist, or VFX Artist, ideally including UI/front-end work within games
  • Demonstrated expertise using Unreal Engine 5, especially the Material Editor and Niagara for real-time visual effects
  • Practical experience with Sequencer or comparable tools for crafting animated transitions and cinematic camera work
  • Strong understanding of real-time lighting and post-process methods and how they shape mood and atmosphere
  • Track record delivering refined hover states, micro-interactions, and motion details that elevate overall UI feel
  • Solid foundation in core technical art skills, including shader logic, texture/material optimization, and performance profiling
  • Keen sensitivity to timing, easing, and motion design principles as applied within UI contexts
  • Strong collaborative capability, able to take existing visual and UX concepts and enhance them through technical refinement
  • Comfort operating in loosely defined, exploratory situations to discover the right feel for a specific screen or moment
  • Solid communication skills with working English fluency at B2 level or higher, supporting clear understanding of business needs and their translation into technical solutions
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with AI assistant tools to support and enhance creative workflows
  • Background working within the gaming industry on comparable projects
  • Experience developing reusable or modular VFX and material systems suited for use across expansive UI surfaces
  • Background in cinematics, trailer production, or environmental mood and lighting design
  • Understanding of UMG and how UI logic connects with material and VFX systems
