Responsibilities

Work with the business to identify solution requirements and key scenarios for future solutions
Enable the Azure cloud journey, analyze TCO, create a business case and turn Cloud strategy into reality
Design and prototype Azure infrastructure, prepare infrastructure and security architecture documentation covering technical implementation aspects
Create a unified strategy for Azure cloud transformation governance, automation, security, implementation and operations
Analyze application and IT services portfolios, develop migration, transformation and automation roadmaps
Conduct Azure infrastructure architecture reviews or audits and prepare corresponding reports
Lead solution implementation from project requirements and goals to solution "go-live"
Oversee Azure system engineering efforts and provide technical support as needed
Lead clients through technical and organizational Cloud transformation challenges daily
Participate in the full cycle of pre-sale activities, including RFP processing, proposal development and direct client communications
Maintain strong awareness of industry trends and best practices
Develop thought leadership on Azure solutions and hybrid clouds
Act as an Azure evangelist, consult and provide technical guidance on Azure solutions design, build, governance, security, operations and cost control best practices

Requirements

Background in multi-tier distributed architecture within IT consulting, IT operations, application development or support, including migrating, architecting and operating on-premises and cloud-based solutions, or experience transforming legacy IT solutions, and knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
Experience in architecting, designing and migrating workloads to public cloud
Knowledge of migration techniques such as rehost, refactor, re-architect, re-platform and repurchase
Expertise in public and private cloud hybrid architecture, networking and connectivity; fluency with deployment, configuration management automation (CI/CD), security automation (SAST/DAST), IT operations automation (AIOps) for various workloads
Experience with highly scalable, performant and mission-critical architectures; cloud migration approaches and tools
Skills in modern cloud architecture and a record of implementing complex Azure solutions
Understanding of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with hands-on ability to implement best practices or recommend improvements
Capability to suggest competitive and innovative technical decisions, secure client buy-in and deliver on commitments
Strong communication skills and ability to present technical concepts in business-friendly language
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Azure certifications are expected
