We are seeking a remoted Senior System Engineer with expertise in Data DevOps and experience working with Kafka. The ideal candidate must have significant experience with Terraform, Kubernetes and Kubernetes patterns, Kafka, Zookeeper, Git, GitLab CI, AWS.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated systems using Terraform
Build and deploy Kubernetes clusters and microservices
Manage infrastructure and ensure smooth operation of Kafka as a Service
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and data scientists
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and support as needed

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a System Engineer with a focus on Data DevOps
Must have expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, Kafka, Zookeeper, Git, GitLab CI, AWS
Experience with Kafka ecosystem tools, REST Proxy, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams
Proficient in Telegraf, Azure and JMX monitoring tools
Strong understanding of EKS infrastructure and Networking, Deployments, Sidecar pattern
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
