  • Assess the existing scheduling environment including schedules, calendars, job structures, security model, integrations, monitoring, and operational procedures
  • Inventory and document jobs, schedules, calendars, dependencies, scripts, executables, batch files, SQL jobs, and runbooks
  • Identify active jobs, scripts, file flows, schedules, and user access patterns
  • Identify unused, obsolete, duplicate, or non-required workloads and define candidates for retirement
  • Determine documentation and retention needs for deprecated jobs, schedules, logs, and related processing artifacts
  • Assess and document security and access rights across the environment
  • Define mapping from a legacy permission model to a role-based access and security model
  • Develop clear documentation for system processes, file structures, dependencies, scripts, permissions, and operating procedures
  • Create system and interaction diagrams that show end-to-end processing flows and key interfaces
  • Map file-based triggers, dependencies, and handoffs across batch processing workflows
  • Validate job volumes and processing scale including peaks, calendar-driven scheduling, and execution frequency
  • Evaluate calendaring and scheduling requirements including holidays, business rules, and exception handling
  • Identify operational, technical, access, security, monitoring, logging, resiliency, and documentation risks
  • Develop a practical migration plan including sequencing, prioritization, validation steps, and rollback considerations
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in system analysis for workload automation or batch processing environments
  • 3+ years of experience conducting architecture assessments for enterprise platforms
  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise batch management solutions, including job scheduling concepts
  • Senior-level stakeholder communication skills across technical and operational teams
  • Proven experience producing system documentation, interaction diagrams, and process flows
  • Strong knowledge of Windows administration, permissions, and access controls
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate dependencies, schedules, and operational procedures
  • Strong risk assessment skills covering security, monitoring, logging, and resiliency
  • Proficient English (C1, Advanced) for clear written and spoken communication
Nice to have
  • Financial services domain experience with market calendars and holiday schedules
  • Experience assessing scheduling impacts from infrastructure, database, or platform changes
