EPAM is looking for a Senior Solution Architect – Banking AML Transformation to join our team in Dublin, Ireland in a hybrid working mode.
In this role you will support a major regulatory and technology transformation program for a leading banking client. This high-impact role focuses on implementing EU Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulatory requirements, requiring strong solution architecture leadership across data, integration, application and enterprise-scale environments.
The successful candidate will provide end-to-end architecture leadership, define the target-state technology solution and ensure designs are secure, scalable, compliant and aligned to enterprise architecture standards. You will work with business, technology, compliance and delivery teams to translate complex regulations into practical technology solutions and support delivery from solution design through to implementation.
The role requires being on client site in central Dublin 2–3 days per week.
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture across a major AML and regulatory transformation program
- Define target-state architecture, solution options and high-level designs for complex banking environments
- Own data, integration and application architecture across distributed systems, legacy platforms and third-party solutions
- Translate regulatory, compliance and financial crime requirements into actionable technology designs
- Present solution designs through Architecture Review Boards and governance forums ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
- Shape integration patterns, APIs, data flows, security controls and non-functional requirements across the solution landscape
- Support delivery planning including architecture roadmaps, transition states, estimates and implementation strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve dependencies, manage risks and maintain architectural integrity
- Ensure designs meet GDPR, security, resilience and audit requirements across all layers of architecture
- Provide hands-on architectural leadership across SDLC, from discovery and design through to MVP delivery and production scaling
- Strong experience as a senior-level solution architect within banking, financial services or regulated environments
- Proven success in AML, compliance, financial crime prevention or regulatory technology programs
- Ability to create high-level designs and progress them through architecture governance processes
- Expertise in enterprise-scale data, integration, security and application architectures
- Experience with distributed systems including legacy banking platforms, screening tools and transaction monitoring solutions
- Strong knowledge of modern architectural approaches including microservices, APIs, CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with security, GDPR, data privacy and regulatory obligations in large-scale programs
- Experience working with senior client stakeholders including executives, compliance sponsors and engineering leadership teams
- Excellent documentation skills for architecture deliverables, roadmaps and design decisions
- Ability to operate effectively in multi-vendor, fast-paced environments with a strong onsite presence
- Knowledge of EU AML regulations or financial crime transformation initiatives
- Understanding of Irish, UK or European banking regulatory landscapes
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
- Exposure to AI or analytics use cases in financial crime operations and investigations
- Background in large-scale data platform or regulatory data transformation programs
