Senior ServiceNow Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our remote team, responsible for developing and maintaining the ServiceNow platform. As part of a dynamic and agile team, you will work collaboratively with other members of the team and other IT teams within the bank to ensure that the required functionality is introduced onto the ServiceNow platform through the adopted SDLC process. With a detailed understanding of the latest versions of ServiceNow, you will be responsible for configuring, developing, maintaining, and supporting the platform, ensuring its smooth operation and contributing to the bank's digitalization journey.
Responsibilities
- Technically analyze requirements to help define technical specifications and solutions
- Configure, develop, maintain and support the ServiceNow platform
- Perform support on ServiceNow to identify issues within the code, working in partnership with other team members to resolve them within the agreed service level targets
- Work effectively within a Scrum team and focus on sprint goal delivery
- Collaborate with other members of the global ITSM team and other IT teams within the bank to ensure that the required functionality is introduced onto the ServiceNow platform through the adopted SDLC process
- Develop using best practices and standards, write code with performance in mind, and utilize automation wherever possible
- Design and develop a solution with self-service in mind
- Provide formal mentoring for more junior members of the team
- Ensure compliance with the bank's policies and procedures
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform
- A detailed understanding of the latest versions of ServiceNow
- In-depth understanding of the ServiceNow configuration and development features and ability to leverage these when implementing functionality on the platform
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills
- Experience working within an agile team and familiarity with the Scrum methodology
- Ability to develop using best practices and standards, write code with performance in mind, and utilize automation wherever possible
- Ability to propose alternative solutions to a problem while working collaboratively with other team members
- Ability to design and develop a solution with self-service in mind
- Good technical writing and documentation skills
- Experience leading a team and providing formal mentoring for more junior members of the team
Nice to have
- Experience with automation, machine learning, and AI
- Working knowledge of GitHub, Flow-JIRA, GitLab, or similar tools
