We are looking for a Senior Server-side Engineer to join our team.
We want someone with strong technical skills and creativity who enjoys tackling tough problems and working with modern technologies. You should not be shy about sharing your ideas and should be obsessive about user experience and beautiful code. You will be working in a large team of engineers, product people, designers, and QA.
Responsibilities
- Build server-side applications that power business-critical functionality
- Write clean and maintainable code across backend components
- Refactor code to improve readability, structure, and long-term maintainability
- Remove obsolete code to keep the codebase lean and healthy
- Work with build tools to streamline development and deployment processes
- Support and enhance Continuous Integration pipelines
- Investigate and fix bugs to keep systems stable and reliable
- Develop asynchronous code to handle concurrent operations effectively
- Perform performance analysis and optimization to ensure system efficiency
- Work with legacy code and integrate with bespoke, hand-crafted backend services from earlier eras
- Design solutions for open-ended problems and complex technical challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of professional relevant experience in software development
- Strong grasp of Algorithms and Data Structures for solving complex engineering problems
- Practical experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building backend services
- Solid background in Unit Testing to ensure code reliability and correctness
- English at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker for containerizing applications and services
- Familiarity with Gradle for build automation
- Exposure to GraphQL for flexible API design and data querying
- Working knowledge of Kotlin for modern JVM-based development
- Familiarity with RAML for API modeling and documentation
