We are seeking a Senior Security Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, the individual will enhance our security measures by leveraging extensive security expertise and influence. The successful candidate will support development teams and lead security efforts across a multitude of applications, ensuring compliance with security policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead security remediation efforts for a wide range of applications
- Support teams in handling Vulnerability Management, Security Incident Management, Risk Management, and Audit processes
- Interpret security policy requirements into technical guidance and actionable plans for application owners
- Facilitate communication between the security enterprise architecture organization and business stakeholders
- Collaborate with governance groups to align with policy requirements
- Conduct security assessments and audits targeting application vulnerabilities
- Educate staff on security best practices
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR and HIPAA
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Security Systems Engineering
- Proficiency in Information Security and Application Security
- Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture
- Capability to influence leaders and maintain productive relationships
- Showcase of strong organizational skills for managing multiple efforts simultaneously
- Knowledge of security policy translation and technical guidance provision
- Understanding of industry regulations like GDPR and HIPAA
- CISSP certification highly desired
- Background in collaborating with international teams
Nice to have
- Additional certifications in security (e.g., CISM, CEH)
- Experience in security education and awareness programs
- Skills in risk assessment methodologies and technologies
