We are actively searching for a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Security Engineer to become an integral part of our remote team.
In this role, you'll engage closely with development peers, product leadership, and fellow technical experts to devise inventive and impactful solutions. This opportunity allows you to make significant contributions to the design, development, and optimization of features within a dynamic Agile development setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing assessments of the cloud environment to pinpoint potential security risks
- Deliver structured reports on the overall security posture of the cloud
- Automate continuous security validation by recommending and implementing cloud security posture management tooling
- Develop and furnish reports detailing the cloud security posture
- Communicate security findings to the respective IT teams, offering guidance on remediation measures
- Engage with cloud platform and cloud application developers, along with senior cloud architects
- Ensure adherence to security standards in regulated environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives
- Champion the implementation of solutions aligned with business goals
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and conformity to standards
- Stay abreast of industry developments and trends to uphold product competitiveness
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Security Engineering
- Proficiency in DevSecOps practices
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile work methodologies
- Experience in intrusion prevention systems to detect potential security breaches
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps for cloud-based infrastructure and application management
- Proficient in one or more automation, coding, and/or scripting languages, such as Bash, Golang, Python, Perl, or similar
- Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code
- In-depth understanding of SSL/TLS for secure communication protocols
- Experience with QRadar for effective security information and event management
- Thorough comprehension of cloud security policies, standards, and frameworks, including GDPR
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, at an upper-intermediate level or higher
