We're actively looking for a seasoned Senior Security Engineer to join our remote team.
As a key contributor, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and executing robust security measures within both architecture and code domains. Oversight of engineering responses to externally flagged threats and vulnerabilities will be a primary responsibility. The ideal candidate will possess an extensive grasp of security protocols, cryptography, and standards, making this a thrilling chance to be part of a vibrant team tackling complex projects in a rapidly evolving industry.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design and implementation of cutting-edge security practices in architecture and code
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to pinpoint and address security loopholes
- Execute engineering remedies for externally highlighted threats and vulnerabilities
- Provide expert guidance to development teams on security-related facets
- Perform comprehensive security assessments and audits on existing infrastructure and code
- Stay abreast of emerging security trends and technologies
- Ensure unwavering compliance with industry security standards and regulations
- Actively engage in incident response and investigative initiatives
- Develop and update security-centric documentation and procedures
- Deliver impactful security training and awareness sessions for internal teams
- Foster productive relationships with third-party vendors and partners in the realm of security matters
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in security engineering or related fields
- Proficient track record in shaping and executing security best practices in architecture and code
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, encompassing AWS cloud services, IP networks, applications, databases, and operating systems
- Expertise in Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, and container security
- Background in embedded software development and architectures
- Profound understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack and major protocols
- Familiarity with general-purpose programming/script languages such as Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a remote team setup
Nice to have
- Experience with Metasploit and QRadar
- Knowledge of SSL/TLS protocols
- Relevant security certifications, including CISSP, CEH, or CISM
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform
