Join our remote team as a Senior Security Engineer, contributing your expertise to fortify our systems.
In this impactful role, you'll play a key part in crafting and integrating security best practices into both our architecture and codebase. Overseeing the rectification of external threats and vulnerabilities will also be under your purview. We seek an individual with a profound comprehension of security protocols, cryptography, and industry standards. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust security protocols in both architecture and code
- Collaborate with diverse teams to pinpoint and address security vulnerabilities
- Execute engineering solutions to tackle externally identified threats and vulnerabilities
- Offer guidance and assistance to development teams on security-related matters
- Perform security assessments and audits on existing infrastructure and code
- Stay abreast of emerging security trends and technologies
- Ensure adherence to industry security standards and regulations
- Participate in incident response and investigative procedures
- Create and maintain comprehensive security documentation and procedures
- Conduct security training and awareness sessions for internal teams
- Engage with third-party vendors and partners regarding security-related concerns
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in security engineering or related domains
- Demonstrate solid proficiency in designing and integrating security best practices in both architecture and code
- Proven history of collaborating with teams to identify and address security gaps
- Possess full-stack knowledge of IT infrastructure, encompassing AWS cloud services, IP networks, applications, databases, and operating systems
- Exhibit expertise in Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, and container security
- Familiarity with embedded software development and architectures
- Display an in-depth understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack and major protocols
- Possess working knowledge of general-purpose programming/script languages such as Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell
- Showcase excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment
Nice to have
- Prior experience with Metasploit and QRadar
- Expertise in SSL/TLS protocols
- Possession of relevant security certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform
