Senior Security Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our remote team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security best practices in architecture and code. You will also oversee engineering remediations to externally identified threats and vulnerabilities. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and security standards. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and work on challenging projects in a rapidly evolving industry.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement security best practices in architecture and code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate security gaps
  • Implement engineering remediations to externally identified threats and vulnerabilities
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams on security-related topics
  • Conduct security assessments and audits on existing infrastructure and code
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security trends and technologies
  • Ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulations
  • Participate in incident response and investigation activities
  • Develop and maintain security-related documentation and procedures
  • Conduct security training and awareness sessions for internal teams
  • Work with third-party vendors and partners on security-related matters
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in security engineering or related fields
  • Solid experience in designing and implementing security best practices in architecture and code
  • Proven track record of working with teams to identify and remediate security gaps
  • Full-stack knowledge of IT infrastructure, including AWS cloud services, IP networks, applications, databases, and operating systems
  • Expertise in Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, and container security
  • Experience with embedded software development and architectures
  • In-depth understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack and major protocols
  • Working knowledge of general-purpose programming/script languages such as Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment
Nice to have
  • Experience with Metasploit and QRadar
  • Expertise in SSL/TLS protocols
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform
