We are currently looking for a remote Senior Scala Developer with proficiency in one or more functional programming languages e.g. Scala, Haskell, F# to join our team.
The customer is a financial technology company that builds products based on distributed ledger technology for banks and other financial institutions.
As part of our team, the Developer is responsible for enhancing the Client Experience for the developers working with our clients and partners.
Responsibilities
- Becoming an expert in applying Daml and our developer tools to solve clients’ workflow opportunities / problems with pragmatic and efficient code; Being able to provide clients assistance in their solutions use of Daml models, development, and integrations
- Presenting customer's products, technical concepts and design to potential and existing clients through customer-facing demonstrations; Collecting and defining requirements based on a dynamic assessment of functional and non-functional capabilities
- Defining and leading client learning sessions for Daml Connect and Daml Driver products, related developer tools and course material; As a technical and domain SME, support our sales/pre-sales process with comprehensive answers to technical questions
- Working closely with the broader Client Experience team, as well as the Sales, Marketing and Product teams on the development of technical materials, prototypes and sales tools; Researching and articulating key differences between other smart contract software on the market
- Developing formal models of business processes and proposing innovative improvements to them through pragmatic and efficient code; Contributing to the evolution of Daml and our developer tools
- Contributing to company blog posts, attending industry events or joining relevant panel discussions to represent both customer's and the company’s products
Requirements
- 4+ years of Scala experience
- Demonstrated experience in a quantitative or highly technical role and/or industry
- Demonstrated experience successfully collaborating with others in a dynamic, fast-paced, pressured environment
- Strong hands-on software engineering on large-scale projects
- Proficient in one or more functional programming languages e.g. Scala, Haskell, F#, ideally in a production environment
- Capable of taking an abstract idea and turning it into a strategic, pragmatic solution in code
- A careful blend of creativity and pragmatism, as Digital Asset is part of a community Bootstrap
- English level B1+
