Our team is looking for a capable Senior SAP HANA Developer to join us. This role involves designing and sustaining advanced data models, pipelines, and backend solutions that support demanding business processes and analytics across manufacturing, engineering, and operational domains. Responsibilities
- Create, build out, and optimize SAP HANA native models, including Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures, and SQLScript, to support backend data processing and aggregation needs
- Establish and maintain reliable ETL pipelines that handle extraction, transformation, and loading of data from SAP and non-SAP systems, covering platforms like SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and other external sources
- Coordinate with teams across different functions to develop scalable data flows and architectures that enable strong analytics and reporting on operations
- Build data workflows from the ground up, preserving high data quality standards while catching and resolving discrepancies through active monitoring and troubleshooting
- Reinforce business operations through custom-built analytics, KPI tracking, and practical insights driven by SAP HANA backend capabilities
- Improve processing performance for sizable datasets and complex workflows by making full use of SAP HANA's in-memory database features
- Participate in collaborative projects spanning teams, working with engineers, business analysts, and solution architects to define requirements and deliver precisely tailored solutions
- Engage fully in Agile (SAFe) processes, including sprint work, planning sessions, and retrospectives, while continuously delivering incremental value to stakeholders
- Keep technical best practices, process documentation, and shared knowledge updated and accessible for core SAP HANA solutions
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical field
- 3 or more years of experience in SAP HANA development or a similar role within the SAP domain
- Proven ability in SAP HANA native modeling, backed by extensive hands-on work with Calculation Views, CDS Views, Procedures, and SQLScript
- Experience building and maintaining ETL workflows and data pipelines, with particular exposure to SAP environments such as HANA
- Familiarity integrating SAP systems, such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or other legacy platforms, into data workflow design
- Strong skills in optimizing data performance, database tuning, and ensuring systems remain scalable for extensive datasets
- Working proficiency with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools including JIRA and Confluence
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills, combined with a collaborative approach to work
- Upper-Intermediate English language competency (B2)
Nice to have
- Experience within manufacturing or engineering fields, especially touching quality assurance or supply chain analytics
- Familiarity with SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Intelligence, or other contemporary SAP integration tools
