We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant with strong core Finance & Controlling expertise to lead functional workstreams supporting rollouts across multiple countries. The consultant will play a key role in planning, executing, and providing on-the-ground rollout support as the program expands into new jurisdictions, ensuring core financial processes are correctly configured, tested, and localized to meet country-specific statutory and tax requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead core FI configuration and processes, including AR, AP, tax, financial postings, and asset accounting
- Validate invoice data flow from billing to financial accounting
- Support e-Invoicing rollout activities alongside compliance and DRC specialists
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, compliance teams, and technical integration teams
- Lead testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities
- Act as primary functional point of contact for client stakeholders and integration teams, coordinating with DRC/compliance experts where needed
- Drive requirement-gathering, functional specification writing, and solution design
- Manage stakeholders and communicate effectively across client-led, multi-team project environments
- Troubleshoot complex data flow and integration issues
- Lead and drive country rollout projects, including local statutory/tax localization specific to each jurisdiction, starting with Emerging Markets
Requirements
- 8+ years of SAP FICO experience, including at least one full lifecycle implementation and one or more rollout/support projects in a lead or senior functional role
- Expertise in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Expertise in Asset Accounting (AA) and Bank Accounting
- Proficiency in Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders (CO)
- Knowledge of tax determination and configuration, including cross-border/multi-jurisdiction tax logic
- Background in financial closing processes (period-end/year-end close)
- Familiarity with API-based and middleware integrations between SAP and external/government platforms, including tax authorities, e-Invoicing networks, and banking interfaces
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of SAP DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance) or equivalent e-Invoicing/statutory reporting tools
