We're currently seeking a Senior SAP BTP/CAP Developer who builds out enterprise services with a modern, cloud-first mindset. You'll hold full responsibility for architecting and implementing scalable, event-driven microservices within BTP, connecting core SAP environments to modern cloud APIs using CAP, Node.js/Java, and strong security foundations
Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement enterprise-grade microservices and extensions based on SAP CAP
- Develop backend infrastructure geared toward strong performance using Node.js and/or Java
- Build integration layers connecting SAP BTP, core systems such as S/4HANA, and third-party APIs using OData and REST
- Establish strong cloud security protocols, including identity propagation and authorization mechanisms, utilizing XSUAA and the BTP Destination Service
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable discipline
- At least 3 years of relevant, applicable experience
- Hands-on track record building enterprise-grade applications with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
- Strong working knowledge of Node.js and/or Java for backend microservice development
- Experience bridging SAP BTP with core SAP solutions and external APIs, including both REST and OData
- Awareness of SAP BTP security fundamentals, XSUAA-based authentication, and destination configuration
- Upper-Intermediate English language competency (B2)
Nice to have
- SAP BTP certification, such as SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, which would be a valuable credential to bring to the role
- Background with SAP Fiori elements and event-driven system design using SAP Event Mesh
