Join our team as a Senior Ruby Developer, working in the cutting-edge software and hi-tech domain. We are looking for an experienced developer to help us build and maintain our innovative software solutions. As a Senior Ruby Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable applications using Ruby and other modern web technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software products that meet our clients' needs.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby and other modern web technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features, ensuring that software products meet clients' needs
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards
- Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and suggestions to other developers
- Conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure high-quality software products
- Proactively identify and fix issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation and user manuals
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Ruby development, demonstrating your proficiency in building complex web applications
- Expertise in Ruby frameworks, such as Ruby on Rails or Sinatra, and their underlying principles
- Strong knowledge of front-end web technologies, including ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases, including query optimization and database design
- Proficiency in Git or other version control systems, enabling you to collaborate effectively with other developers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset, allowing you to identify and fix issues quickly and efficiently
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with other programming languages, such as Python or Java
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or Cassandra
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes
